Check and Clean EGR Valve

If you notice an inconsistent power delivery or a slight drop in power while driving, and the EML light stays on, it is a good idea to check the exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR valve). After removing the engine protection cover, locate the intake duct using the images specific to your vehicle. Now, simply disconnect the pipe from the turbo, detach any connectors, and remove the EGR valve. As shown in the video, your vehicle's valve may also be particularly clogged. Clean the valve as much as possible and check its proper function/movement before reinstalling it. Vehicle model: BMW X3 2.0D Year: 2008.
