How do you replace the BMW 3 Series rocker cover?

Model: BMW Serie 3 E92, E90, E91 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Checks and maintenance

To be able to remove the BMW 3 Series rocker cover, you need to open the hood to access the engine compartment and remove the top cover. Once this has been removed, it will be possible to access its underlying components, such as the connectors that will need to be disconnected, as they are cluttered pieces. Consequently, it will be necessary to unscrew all the bolts located around the tappet cover: when they have all been unscrewed, the cover can be lifted and removed, replacing it with a new spare part. After replacement, all removed parts will need to be installed.
