To replace the battery in the remote key for BMW models from series 1, 3, 5, and also series X, follow the instructions below. First, remove the emergency key and use a sharp object to pry open the cover.

Under the cover, you will find the circuit board with the battery. You can then remove the old battery using the sharp object and replace it with a new one, ensuring the correct polarity is observed.

Finally, reattach the cover, and you're done.
