How to replace the remote control battery of BMW 1 Series f20

This guide shows how to replace the battery in the BMW 1 Series f20 remote control. To replace the battery, the first operation to be performed is to extract the physical key from the remote control by pressing the retention button. Using the tip of the key itself, force open the back cover of the device to allow access to the battery compartment. Using a small slotted screwdriver, remove the old battery and fit a new CR2450 backup battery. Reassemble the back cover and the physical key and check the correct functioning of the remote control.
