How to Replace the Remote Battery on a BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 MK 2, F20, F21 - Years 2011-2019

To replace the remote battery on the BMW 1 Series, press the button located at the top of the device. This will allow you to slide the key out from the top of the remote, along with the plastic cover. Once the old key is removed, lever inside its housing to separate the two halves of the remote. This will allow you to extract the battery inside and replace it with a new part. After replacement, close the remote by reinserting the key.
