Replacing the battery in the key of the BMW 4 Series is very simple and can be done by anyone. First, remove the physical key by pulling it out. Next, with the key just removed, give a slight upward push to remove the back of the plastic cover. At this point, you will see the used button cell. Replace it with a new compatible model and correctly reposition the cover you removed earlier. Finally, reinsert the physical key, and you're done.
