How to Replace the Cabin Filter in a BMW X1

Let's see how to replace the cabin filter in a BMW X1: The filter is located behind the glove compartment, where you only need to remove the bottom panel using two Torx screws of 10 mm; it is not necessary to empty or completely disassemble it. Once the bottom panel is removed, you will find the cover of the filter, but to access it, you need to unscrew two security Torx screws of 20. Then, two clips will allow you to open the hatch where the filter is located. In this case, an activated carbon filter is reinstalled; as with regular filters, pay attention to the direction of airflow. Once the filter is reinserted, you can close the clips, screw in the screws, and reattach the bottom panel of the glove compartment by tightening the 10 mm Torx screws. The job is done.
