Instructions for Removing the Navigation Display

Model: BMW X5 E53 - Years 1999-2006

To remove the navigation display, first remove the central trim pieces of the dashboard. You should also remove the central air vents to access the upper mounting screws instead of breaking the plastic clips as shown in the video. Once the vents are removed and the screws are undone, pull the navigation display forward and disconnect the connectors behind it (also remove the volume knob to check for another screw underneath). Before disconnecting, ensure you have the unlock code for reactivation.
