This short tutorial shows how to reset the service light related to engine oil life on a fifth-generation BMW 7 Series, produced from 2008 to 2015. First, turn on the vehicle's instrument cluster, then press and hold the "TRIP" button to the left of the speedometer until the vehicle icon appears on the information display, along with the relevant checks to perform.

Select the service check and hold the same button to confirm.

When prompted to perform the reset, press and hold the "TRIP" button one last time until the reset is complete.
