In this video we can see where the coolant sensor is located in the BMW 3 Series E46, useful in case we need to replace it. As shown, the sensor is positioned in the front right area of the engine, to our left when looking at the vehicle from the front. It is located right on the lower radiator pipe and is easily recognisable. To disassemble it, first of all wait for the engine to be completely cold, then disconnect the power connector and unscrew it. Once the spare part has been fitted, it will be necessary to top up with coolant.
