In this video, you will find instructions to remove and replace the coolant temperature sensor on a BMW 3 Series E46 318i. First, open the hood of your car and start by removing the plastic upper cover by taking out the air filter. Next, use a Torx screwdriver to remove the screws from the panel located underneath, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector from the mass air flow sensor and the vacuum hose. Remove the air filter box and the intake hoses, then unscrew the coolant sensor and disconnect the electrical connector. Replace it with the new one and reassemble everything!
