Where is the temperature sensor located in the BMW 3 Series?

In today's video, we will show you where the coolant temperature sensor is located on a BMW 3 Series E46 model. This type of vehicle has two sensors. On the 2005 model with a six-cylinder M54 engine, the secondary temperature sensor is located between the engine and the left front headlight. To replace it, we need to disconnect the connector at the bottom and unscrew the locking screw on the plastics. The main sensor is located under the air filter box, between the ventilation bellows and the cylinder head manifold. In this case, to replace it, we not only need to disconnect the connector and unscrew the locking screws, but we also need to remove the engine cover to disconnect the injectors and remove the air filter box.
