To replace the windshield wiper blades on a BMW 3 Series, lift the arm so that the blade is not in contact with the windshield. At this point, you can detach the pin that secures the arm to the old blade, which should be pulled down and removed completely.

Now, insert the new blade onto the corresponding arm, ensuring it locks into place by closing the securing clip. Once both blades have been replaced, position them on the windshield to verify that they function correctly.
