Replacing the Silent Block of the Suspension Control Arm

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

To perform this maintenance, it is advisable to lift the vehicle on a lift, but it can also be sufficient to place it on appropriate jack stands; then remove the plastic cover to access the vehicle's underbody and remove the aluminum protective cover; at this point, you can access the two mounting pins of the silent block (this is essentially an aluminum bushing with a rubber damper inside and equipped with a bracket for attachment to the vehicle's frame); then unscrew the pins, remove the old bushing, and insert the new one, lubricating the rubber part with spray grease.
