How do you replace the battery in the BMW 3 Series?

In order to replace the battery in the BMW 3 Series, you need to go and open the tailgate of the car, so that you can access the internal components of the trunk: on its right side there will be a cover that must be detached to access the underlying components. Here you will find the battery which will have to be detached in order to then also be able to loosen its fixing screws; in doing so the battery will be removed from its housing and replaced with a new one. After replacement, the previously removed plastic covers can be reinstalled.
