Armrest Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

If the upholstery of the armrest is worn and torn, you can have it reupholstered by an upholsterer, but you need to remove it first: start by removing the ashtray located behind the console, unscrew the screws at the bottom, and take out the compartment that includes the trim covering the sides of the armrest; at this point, detach the side springs carefully to avoid them popping out, remove the plastic bushings to complete the disassembly of the armrest; after reupholstering with the new material, proceed in reverse for reinstallation, ensuring to preload the springs during fastening.
