Suspension Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

The necessary tools are a ratchet wrench, a set of combination wrenches, a bushing installer, and replacement bushings. Lift the vehicle on a lift to access the suspension. Locate the suspension connection and remove it by unscrewing all the bolts. Use a small hammer and a punch to drive the bolts out of their seats after thoroughly spraying them with penetrating oil. Remove the worn bushings. After removing the old bushing, insert the new one into the control arm using the appropriate installer. Reassemble the rest of the previously removed suspension components.
