If you want to manually reset the engine oil light on your new BMW X3 (year 2017-2022), you just need to follow this simple reset procedure that does not require the use of any professional diagnostic tools. First, start the instrument cluster by pressing the dedicated ignition button. Then, press the button located on the left side of the cluster several times until you see the "Trip" option displayed. Hold down the same button to access the secret menu. Locate the "Engine oil" option and hold down the button again until you are asked if you want to proceed with the reset. Confirm the operation and turn off the instrument cluster when finished.
