Car Radio Amplifier Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

If raising the volume of the car radio results in distorted sound from the speakers, the amplifier may be damaged and needs to be replaced or repaired. In any case, proceed with its removal. The amplifier is located in the trunk, near the left rear light (driver's side), under the cargo floor. Open the hood, remove the cargo floor cover and the side carpet to access the amplifier. Disconnect the connector and remove it along with its supporting brackets, which should be attached to the new one.
