The video shows how to remove the inserts inside the vehicle, in the panels on the doors and on the dashboard. Removing the inserts on the doors is quite simple; they are snap-fit. Start by removing them from the ends while simultaneously moving towards the center, being careful not to lose the metal clips.

The trims on the dashboard are also snap-fit, but note that the insert containing the cruise control button must be removed from the insert after it is detached from the dashboard. The video demonstrates the procedure on a BMW 5 Series made before the year 2000.
