Where is the ECU Located in a BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 MK 3, F40 - Years 2019-2026

In this short video, you can see where the ECU is located in a BMW 1 Series F40, useful if you need to replace it. As shown, it is located inside the engine bay, precisely on the right wall of the battery on the driver's side. To remove it, simply disconnect all the front connectors and the negative terminal of the battery, and unscrew the various mounting bolts. To make the job easier, it is possible to first remove the battery itself to create more space. Once the operation is complete, ensure that you securely reconnect the connectors.
