Replacing the Key Battery for BMW 5 Series

Let's see how to change the battery in a remote for a BMW 5 Series. Hold the remote with the back, the side without buttons, facing you and press with two fingers on the two buttons on the left of the slot to slide out the spare key. Using a small flathead screwdriver, work on the left side to remove the cover that gives access to the battery compartment. Using the screwdriver, remove the old battery, which should be disposed of in designated containers, and insert the new CR2450 battery, ensuring the correct polarity. Replace the cover and reinsert the spare key.
