How to Replace the Timing Chain on a BMW 1 Series

To replace the timing chain on a BMW 1 Series, open the bonnet to access the front of the engine block: this car has a longitudinal engine, so the timing chain will be at the front. Loosen the screws securing the protective cover to locate the chain: by loosening the screws that hold the tensioner, you can reduce its tension, allowing it to be removed from the sprockets. At this point, insert the new chain, ensuring everything functions correctly.
