To replace the EGR valve on a BMW 5 Series, open the hood to access the components in the engine bay: it is located at the bottom left of the engine block, right below the exhaust manifold. By loosening the screws that secure it to its housing and disconnecting all the connectors attached to it, you can remove the old EGR valve from its housing to install the new one; the new valve must be secured in place and properly connected, ensuring everything functions correctly.
