In the BMW 1 Series, it may happen that the boot lid gets jammed, for example, due to a problem with the release button or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can still perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the rear doors, then fully lower the backrest of the seat by operating the release levers. Next, go to the inside of the boot, grab the lever on the left side, and pull it towards you to unlock the lock.
