The step-by-step instructions in this guide will show you how to disassemble and replace the battery in the key fob for the BMW 3 Series. First, take your key fob and remove the physical key found inside it; then, remove the plastic cover of the fob, as shown in the video.

At this point, take out the old battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type and the same specification (in this case, a CR 2032 3V); insert it in the correct orientation and secure the plastic cover, finally reinserting the key.
