Where to Find the Cigarette Lighter Fuse in the BMW 1 Series

Model: BMW Serie 1 E81, E82, MK 1, E87 - Years 2004-2013

If the cigarette lighter charging socket is not working, the first thing to check is the integrity of the corresponding fuse. Once you have removed the dashboard cover that conceals the fuse box, the fuse for the cigarette lighter is the last one in the second row at the bottom right, labelled F30, next to relay number 7. Some spare fuses can be found next to the fuse box itself, in positions F72 to F78: it is important to select a fuse of the same capacity, that is, of the same rating (smaller is fine but never larger).
