How to disassemble the cigarette lighter socket in the BMW 1 Series?

In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the cigarette lighter socket in the BMW 1 Series, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, make sure that the key is not inserted, so that you can work safely, then lift the central armrest and, using a preferably plastic spatula, unclip the frame containing the cigarette lighter socket. Disconnect the power connectors, unlock the internal clips of the socket, and separate it from the base. At this point, we can secure the replacement and reassemble everything simply by following the reverse procedure.
