How to replace the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket in the BMW Series 1.

To replace the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket on a BMW Series 1 model E87, we need to open the glove compartment on the passenger side to remove its bottom and access the fuse box. Using the diagram inside the box, we remove fuse number 30, which is 15 amperes, using needle-nose pliers. We then insert a new fuse with the same amperage into the box and start the vehicle to test the functionality of the socket. If it does not work, it may be necessary to disassemble the socket, as the issue could be related to the internal connector.
