To reset the window regulator on a BMW 3 Series, fully lower the window you want to reset. Once it is completely down, press and hold the button down for about twenty seconds.

Then, raise the window all the way up and press the button up for another twenty seconds. This will completely reset the window; you can perform this operation on all other window regulators in the car to reset them as well.
