By following simple steps, you can reset the oil change light: First, perform maintenance on the vehicle, such as changing the engine oil and filters; after completing the DIY service, get in the car and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and turn on the ignition only, within 5 seconds, press the accelerator pedal all the way down; at this point, the light will start to blink, when it begins to blink, start the engine; if the procedure was performed correctly, the light should turn off.
