Operation: How to synchronize and connect the garage door opener with the Cadillac CT4 remote control

On this car, the synchronization and garage opening commands are present as an accessory directly from the car without using the classic remote control. To do this configuration we can follow the instructions below and also referring to the video. In the upper part of the ceiling light of the car, immediately above the central rear view mirror, there are three keys identified with 1,2, 3 and the house symbol. The first thing to do is to press and hold down key 1 and key 3 for at least 15 seconds until the red button on the house symbol starts flashing. Then take the garage opening remote control, place it near the house symbol and press and hold down both the opening command on the remote control and button 1 on the car for 15 seconds. In this way we will have synchronized the car with the remote control and therefore it will be sufficient to approach the garage with the car and the latter will open automatically.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
