How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Chevrolet Aveo

Here’s how to remove the front shock absorber on a Chevrolet Aveo. The first step: Loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the wheel. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the fastening bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Now lower the car with the column lift and unscrew the bolts on the side (top part of the shock absorber), then pull the shock absorber out of its housing. Prepare to fit the shock absorber to the spring using the appropriate compression machinery. Once everything is fitted, proceed to install the shock absorber back onto the car in reverse order.
