How to Replace the Cabin Filter on a Chevrolet Equinox

To replace the cabin filter on a Chevrolet Equinox, first open the glove compartment (passenger side). Once the drawer is open, press inward on the sides until it releases from the top and opens further. Now, looking into the compartment, you will find a latch attached to the drawer on your right. Gently detach it from its end and completely remove the drawer. You will now see the filter box and the associated fan. The filter is protected by its support marked with the label FILTER ACCESS DOOR. At this point, remove the 2 screws holding the support and pull out the filter. Insert the new filter into the compartment in the same position as the old one, close the support with the 2 screws, and reattach the glove compartment.
