Oil and Oil Filter Change on Chevrolet Trax

Model: Chevrolet Trax MK 1 - Years 2013-2022
Part: Oil filter

Gather a Torx T45 bit, a 24 mm socket wrench, and an oil filter with code 55594651. Lift the car with a jack (if you don't have a ramp) and use the T45 bit to unscrew the bolt that acts as the plug for the oil drain hole. Collect the used oil in a container using a funnel or a tube. Once it has completely drained, screw the bolt back in. Using the 24 mm socket, unscrew the oil filter cover and remove it. Clean the cover thoroughly and insert the new filter, then reassemble everything. Pour in the new oil from the compartment in the bonnet.
