How to Protect the Charging Port of the Chevrolet Bolt EV from Rain

In this video, we will show you how to protect the charging port of the Chevrolet Bolt EV from rain. Take a clear plastic box similar in size to what you see in the video. Cut the bottom of the box with a utility knife or scissors. Use wide electrical tape to cover the cut edge of the box to prevent any sharp edges. Take a plastic bag similar to those used for freezing food. Insert the box into the plastic bag and align the two edges as shown in the video. Now secure the two edges with electrical tape so they stay attached. Finally, cut the bottom of the bag with scissors to create an opening for the charging port.
