Replacing the Car Radio with CD Player and GPS Navigator

Model: Citroen C4 MK 1 - Years 2004-2010

The tool needed for this series of operations is a special plastic tool available at spare parts shops. If unavailable, a sturdy piece of plastic with rounded edges can be used to avoid leaving marks. Remove the gear lever cover and the corresponding plastic panel by prying at the edges with the tool. Disconnect the wiring of the switches and pull it from the gear lever. Carefully remove the console frame by prying on all sides, then remove the complete dashboard with air vents by gently pulling it from its housing. Insert the appropriate tools at the sides of the car radio to extract it from the dashboard. Disconnect all wiring at the back until it is completely removed. Secure the CD player under the glove compartment and route the cables behind the tunnel. Remove the car radio antenna and, routing the cable along the pillar, secure the GPS antenna in place of the car radio antenna. Alternatively, the antenna works well if placed on the dashboard under the windscreen. Connect the audio cable of the CD player to the aux input of the new car radio and connect the power supplies as per the diagram included with the navigator kit. Refit the new console with the radio and navigator and perform a functionality test.
