In this video, see where the engine ECU is located on the Citroen C3 Picasso. It is situated in the engine compartment, on the right side of the starter battery, in contact with the fuse box on the right.

Removing it is quite simple; just remove the rubber cover and then disconnect the electrical connectors that link it to the various components to take it out of its housing. If you wish to replace it, an original ECU costs around £100.00; prices vary if you intend to remap it: then it will depend on what you want to achieve from your ECU and the professional you choose to work with.
