In this video we can see how to open the rear hatch of a Citroen C3 Pluriel from the inside, which was showing errors "unable to open the trunk" and "unable to open the roof", by testing their respective functions. Additionally, the heated rear window was not working.

The YouTuber tried to reset the BSI, but it didn't work, and even checking the fuses proved unsuccessful. So the problem had to be purely mechanical, so he cleared out the trunk and removed the lock cover from the inside; this allows access to the mechanism, which he manually operated to open the rear hatch.

Now it is possible to diagnose the problem, although water leakage from the rear hatch may give a clue to the cause of the malfunction.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
