In this video, we see how the active hood system works, here on a Citroen C6, but the method is the same on all models: it is an innovation specifically designed to protect pedestrians in the event of a collision. The car is equipped with sensors positioned in the front that constantly monitor the surrounding environment.

When these sensors detect an impact with a pedestrian, a signal is sent to the vehicle's control unit; the control unit, in turn, activates a mechanism that unlocks the hood hinges. Thanks to preloaded springs, the hood quickly lifts, creating a larger space between the engine and the outer surface of the hood itself.

This creates a larger deformation zone, which allows for more effective dissipation of the impact energy, reducing the risk of serious injuries for the pedestrian and protecting their vital organs.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
