How to open the front bonnet for maintenance? Here’s how to do it on a Citroen C3: pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then slightly lift the bonnet and pull the release lever to the left. Once the bonnet is released, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the bonnet is open, you can perform your maintenance.

To close the bonnet: remove the safety rod and let the bonnet drop from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
