How to check the fluid levels of the Citroen C3 MK1

In this video, we will see how to check the fluid levels on a Citroen C3 MK1. Let's start with the oil level: the car must be stationary for at least half an hour on a flat surface. Look for the oil level indicator and remove it from its housing. Clean it and then put it back in place, remove it again and check that the level is close to the "max" mark. If it is lower, add enough oil from the refill cap to restore the level; the oil must be of the specification indicated by the manufacturer in the owner's manual. It is also important that it is of excellent quality. Next, check the coolant reservoir. Again, we must make sure that the level is just below the "max" mark. We must top up with fluid of the same color as that in the tank, never with tap water. Also check the brake fluid reservoir: this fluid theoretically never gets consumed; if the level has dropped below the maximum, it means that the brake pads are wearing out, so top it up, but schedule a visit to the mechanic. Finally, check the windshield washer fluid reservoir: add the appropriate fluid or demineralized water, never tap water as the lime could damage the pipes and cloud the windshield.
