We need to open the hood and ensure that the vehicle is on a flat surface: first, we need to check the engine oil level using the dipstick. Pull it out and clean it, then put it back in place and check it again: the level should be near the maximum. If it isn't, add a bit of oil as specified by the manufacturer. We also check the coolant level: this should also be near the maximum, and if necessary, we can add more, as long as it is the same color as the fluid present in the reservoir. Now it's time for the brake fluid: this fluid does not get consumed, but if it is below the maximum, it means that the brake pads are wearing down. So, let's add some brake fluid and schedule a check of the pads themselves. We should also add windshield washer fluid. Be careful not to add tap water, as it could damage the ducts and the windshield.
