How do you change the battery of a Citroën C3 key?

Changing the battery of your Citroën C3 key is a simple operation that will help you avoid inconveniences when it stops working. Take a small screwdriver or a coin and look for the slot on the back of the key. Gently pry it open, without forcing it too much. Once open, you will see the battery: it is usually a CR2032. Carefully remove it and insert the new one, paying attention to the polarity (+ facing upwards). Close the shell by pressing the two sides firmly until you hear a click. Test the remote immediately to make sure it works. If it doesn't work, check that the battery is positioned correctly. Now you're all set, no more opening problems!
