How does the adaptive cruise control of the Citroen Berlingo Van work?

In this video made directly by Citroen, we see how the adaptive speed regulator works on the Berlingo Van: this device, in the presence of the EAT8 gearbox, automatically maintains a safe distance. Let's activate it by placing the control on "cruise" and adjust the speed with the +/- buttons; the system can be activated from a minimum speed of 30 km/h. The button located on the top of the lever is used to adjust the distance we want to maintain with the vehicle in front of us, and we can see it on the vehicle's display; the speed adjusts to maintain the distance we have set (close, medium, far). With the automatic gearbox, the vehicle slows down to a complete stop, while with the manual gearbox at 30 km/h, control is handed back to the driver.
