Replacing the engine air filter on a Citroën Xsara Picasso is a simple and quick task to do yourself. The cost for replacing the filter at an authorised workshop is £60.00. Doing it yourself reduces the cost to just the purchase of the filter, totalling £15.00. To replace the filter, open the front bonnet and unscrew the screws on the sides of the air duct. After removing the screws, access the removal of the cover of the box. Extract the filter from its seat and insert the new one. Refit the cover of the box and secure it with the screws. Refit the screws on the air duct and complete the replacement by closing the bonnet.
