On the Citroen C3, the procedure starts with the car lifted and the rear wheel already removed, allowing direct access to the drum assembly. You will see the phase where the drum is freed from the hub, and once removed, all internal components are visible: shoes, springs, fixings, and adjustment mechanism. From there, proceed with the actual disassembly on the Citroen C3: the springs are unloaded and removed, then the retainers and connections holding the shoes in place are released. Reassembly on the Citroen C3 follows the same logical order as the original: reposition the shoes on the plate, replace the adjuster, and reattach the springs and retainers until the assembly is restored to its original geometry. Before closing, clean the inside of the drum, then reinstall the drum onto the hub, securing it with the central fixing.
