How to Reset the Sliding Door Handle on a Citroen Jumpy

Here’s how to reset the sliding door handle on a Citroen Jumpy (or the twin models Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato). As seen in the video, the external handle of the sliding door, on the side of the vehicle, detaches from its housing, creating an annoying play or gap between the handle and the door panel. This often happens because the front hook of the handle pops out of its mechanical attachment point. Locate and loosen the screw; remove the black adhesive on the edge of the door, in line with the handle. Underneath, there is a Torx T screw: loosen it a few turns without removing it. Detach the handle and pull it forward (towards the front bumper) to unlock the rear part. Look into the gap at the front of the handle: with a thin tool, pull the visible spring mechanism towards you. Hook the plastic hook of the handle behind that mechanism. Now push the entire handle back to reposition the rear pin; tighten the T20 screw you loosened and check by pulling the handle to ensure the door opens smoothly.
