To replace the battery of the remote on a Citroen C5, take the key and locate the opening point along the rear edge of the casing. Insert a small flat screwdriver into the slot and carefully pry apart the two halves of the shell.

Once the remote is open, locate the button battery inside and remove it, paying attention to the position, especially the positive and negative sides. Insert the new battery of the same type, ensuring the polarity indicated in the compartment is respected.

After positioning it correctly, close the remote by aligning the two parts until fully engaged. Press the buttons to check that the signal is transmitted correctly and that the vehicle's locking and unlocking functions respond without issues.
