Replace Timing Belt on Citroen Xsara Picasso

Remove the timing belt if you have exceeded the maximum mileage for vehicle safety. Here’s how to remove the belt. Lift the car on a column lift; remove the front wheel and the left wheel arch liner. Remove the timing belt cover; open the bonnet and take off the other protective covers. Loosen the tensioner, the second tensioner, and slide the belt off its seat. Using a spanner, install the tensioner roller, tension it until the correct belt tension is achieved (install both belts). Refit the water pump if it was removed. Tighten all previously removed components. Test the Xsara Picasso.
